Activities with Purpose: How CPS Christian Schools Build Faith and Community
At CPS Christian Schools, activities aren’t just events—they are opportunities to inspire, connect, and transform. Each celebration, observance, and gathering brings our students, staff, and families closer together in faith, community, and purpose.
Field Trips
Field trips open doors to discovery beyond the classroom. These journeys give students and teachers the chance to connect one-on-one, build deeper fellowship, and grow through hands-on learning. Whether exploring museums, nature, or cultural landmarks, every trip strengthens both knowledge and relationships.
Spirit Week
Spirit Week is a burst of creativity and joy! It’s a weeklong celebration where students step out of their uniforms, embrace themed dress days, and even mimic their teachers with fun and laughter. More than just entertainment, Spirit Week strengthens school pride and builds unforgettable memories.
Anti-Bullying Initiative
At CPS, we stand united against bullying. This initiative empowers students to support one another, speak up for kindness, and turn to prayer for strength. Together, we lift our voices in prayer for schools across the nation, believing in the power of God’s love to overcome negativity and fear.
Breast Cancer Awareness
Breast Cancer Awareness month is both educational and deeply meaningful. Many of our families have been touched by this disease, and we respond as a community with compassion and faith. Students create posters, participate in walks for awareness, and gather in prayer—standing in hope and lifting up all those affected.
Multicultural Day
Multicultural Day is a celebration of unity in diversity. Students proudly dress in cultural attire, work together on creative presentations, and share their heritage with peers and judges. The day concludes with a joyful Thanksgiving-style feast, bringing everyone together as one family in Christ, celebrating the beauty of every culture.
Christmas
Christmas at CPS is filled with joy and reverence as we celebrate the birth of our Savior. A school-wide Christmas play brings the story of Jesus’ birth to life, while classroom festivities remind us of God’s greatest gift—His Son—who came so that we might have eternal life.
Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is more than cards and candy—it’s a chance to reflect on the love of Jesus. Students uplift one another through acts of kindness, encouragement, and fellowship, learning that true love is selfless, Christ-centered, and everlasting.
Easter
Easter is one of the most powerful celebrations of the year. Through a moving play, our students bring to life the story of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. This sacred reminder of His boundless love and triumphant resurrection inspires hope and strengthens faith in every heart.
