More Than a School—A Promise I Carry in My Heart

At Osceola Christian Prep

By Principal Benson

Every morning, as I stand and watch children walk through the doors of Osceola Christian Prep, I’m reminded that this is more than a school—it’s a calling.

Some come in smiling and ready.

Some come in quiet, still waking up.

Some come in carrying things they don’t even have words for yet.

Some come in hungry, lost and forgotten.

But every single child who walks through those doors becomes my child.

Not just in responsibility—but in my heart.

Because I’m not only the principal… I’m a parent too.

I know what it feels like to kiss your child goodbye and hope they’re safe, supported, and seen. I know what it means to trust someone else with what matters most to you. And that’s why I lead the way I do—with intention, compassion, love and prayer. When we speak of LIVING JESUS, we do not simply do so in words but in actions as well. With every hug, smile, prayer, direction, listening ear or correction, it is done so in love.

Built on a Promise

The foundation of Osceola Christian Prep is rooted in a promise found in Isaiah 40:31:

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles…”

That scripture isn’t just something we say, it’s something we live.

We are raising children who will learn how to wait on God, trust Him, and find their strength in Him. Children who rise above challenges, not because life is easy—but because their foundation is strong.

Yes, we care about excellence in education. We want our students to succeed academically and walk confidently into their future.

But what matters even more to me is who they become along the way.

I want them to know:

• That they are loved beyond measure

• That they have purpose

• That their voice matters

• That their life has meaning

In our classrooms, we don’t just teach lessons—we build lives.

When They Hurt, I Feel It

This is the part that makes it personal.

When a child is struggling, I feel it.

When they’re discouraged, I notice.

When they succeed, I celebrate like they’re my own—because they are.

There have been moments where I’ve prayed over students quietly. Moments where I’ve had hard conversations, wiped tears, and reminded a child who they are when they forgot.

That’s not in a job description—but it’s in my heart.

A Place to Grow, Safely and Strong

At Osceola Christian Prep, we are intentional about creating an environment where children feel safe—spiritually, emotionally, and academically.

A place where:

• Grace is given freely

• Accountability is taught with love

• Faith is not just taught, but modeled daily

Because when children feel safe, they open up.

And when they open up, they grow.

Why This Matters to Me

This isn’t just where I work.

This is what I’ve been called to do.

As a parent, I want my child surrounded by people who will reinforce what I’m teaching at home—faith, character, and resilience.

As a principal, I extend that same covering to every child here.

So, when I say your child becomes my child, I mean that deeply.

I will advocate for them.

I will believe in them.

I will pray for them.

I will push them to be everything God has called them to be.

An Open Invitation

Choosing a school is more than checking boxes, it’s choosing a village.

At Osceola Christian Prep, we don’t take that lightly.

We are here to partner with families, to nurture purpose, and to build a generation that knows who they are and whose they are.

Because here, your child won’t be overlooked.

They’ll be known.

They’ll be covered.

They’ll be loved.

And in my heart…

they’ll always be mine.
